Description

This gorgeous hand-sculpted moon jar has been burnished to a silky sheen and saggar-fired. The foil saggar was loaded with organic material and minerals that released fumes which were absorbed into the jar during the final firing process including fern leaves which have left behind a smoky impression.

Due to the low firing temperature of this piece it is not waterproof and therefore purely decorative. Plumpy (my affection nickname for the pot) has received royal treatment and her voluptuous rounded shape has been waxed and buffed to a shiny shine.
